The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the night, when it envelops, 1 By the day when it appeareth in glory, 2 and by Him Who created the male and the female: 3 Verily, [O men,] you aim at most divergent ends! 4 So he who gives (in charity) and fears (Allah), 5 And accepts the best, 6 We will indeed make smooth for him the path to Bliss. 7 And for him who hoarded wealth and remained carefree, 8 and calls the ultimate good a lie 9 We will facilitate for him the difficult end. 10 and his wealth shall be of no avail to him when he perishes. 11 Verify on us is the guidance 12 and to Us belong the Last and the First. 13 Therefore I warn you of the fire that flames: 14 [the fire] which none shall have to endure but that most hapless wretch 15 He who denieth and turneth away. 16 But the righteous one will avoid it - 17 He who spends his wealth for increase in self-purification, 18 And no one has with him any boon for which he should be rewarded, 19 but only out of a longing for the countenance of his Sustainer, the All-Highest: 20 He will surely be well-pleased (with him). 21
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
