The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the midday brightness 1 and by the calm of night, 2 Thy Lord has neither forsaken thee nor hates thee 3 And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]. 4 And verily, your Lord will give you (all i.e. good) so that you shall be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And found thee lost on thy way, and guided thee? 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 So do not oppress the orphan, 9 And repulse not the beggar; 10 And as for the favor of your Lord, do announce (it). 11
