Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

I CALL TO witness the early hours of morning, 1 By the night when it darkeneth, 2 Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. 3 And indeed the latter is better for you than the former. 4 And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 And did He not find you in want, and then enriched you? 8 Do not oppress the orphans 9 and him that seeks [thy] help shalt thou never chide, 10 and proclaim the bounty of your Lord. 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
