Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the Glorious Morning Light, 1 And by oath of the night when it covers, 2 Thy Sustainer has not forsaken thee, nor does He scorn thee: 3 Indeed what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by. 4 And verily, your Lord will give you (all i.e. good) so that you shall be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) an orphan and gave you a refuge? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 Therefore, as for the orphan, do not oppress (him). 9 Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard); 10 but proclaim the blessings of your Lord. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
