Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the white forenoon 1 And by the Night when it is still,- 2 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3 The reward in the next life will certainly be better for you than worldly gains. 4 And verily, your Lord will give you (all i.e. good) so that you shall be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And He found thee wandering, so He guided thee, 7 And He found you poor, and made you rich (selfsufficient with selfcontentment, etc.)? 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard); 10 but proclaim the blessings of your Lord. 11
