The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the morning brightness 1 And [by] the night when it covers with darkness, 2 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3 for, indeed, the life to come will be better for thee than this earlier part [of thy life]! 4 And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And find you lost (that is, unrecognized by men) and guide (them to you)? 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness, 9 And do not drive the beggar away, 10 But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! 11
