The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the Glorious Morning Light, 1 And the night when dark and still, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee, 3 What is to come is better for you than what has gone before; 4 And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you orphaned and shelter you? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 And find you in want and make you to be free from want? 8 Wherefore as to the orphan, be thou not unto him overbearing. 9 And do not drive the beggar away, 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
