The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the midday brightness 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 Your Lord (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) has neither forsaken you nor hated you. 3 And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present (life of this world). 4 Your Lord will give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 Did He not find you a wanderer so He guided you? 7 And He found you poor, and made you rich (selfsufficient with selfcontentment, etc.)? 8 Therefore, be not harsh with the orphan; 9 and as for the beggar, scold him not; 10 But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it]. 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa). Sent down in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
