The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the forenoon (after sun-rise); 1 And the night when dark and still, 2 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3 And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. 4 And indeed, in time will thy Sustainer grant thee [what thy heart desires,] and thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Found He not thee an orphan, so He sheltered thee? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. 9 and do not reject the beggars 10 But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it]. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
