The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 And the night when it covers with darkness. 2 Thy Lord has neither forsaken thee nor hates thee 3 And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]. 4 Your Lord will soon grant you sufficient favors to please you. 5 Has He not found thee an orphan, and given thee shelter? 6 Did He not find you wandering, and give you guidance? 7 And did He not find you in need and make you rich? 8 Do not oppress the orphan, 9 And as for him who asks, do not chide (him), 10 and of thy Sustainer's blessings shalt thou [ever] speak. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
