Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By the bright forenoon, 1 By the night when it darkeneth, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee, 3 The Last shall be better for you than the First. 4 soon you will be gratified with what your Lord will give you. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And He found thee wandering, so He guided thee, 7 Did He not find you in want, and make you free from want? 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 Therefor the beggar drive not away, 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11
