Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

By the Glorious Morning Light, 1 And the night when dark and still, 2 Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. 3 The Last shall be better for you than the First. 4 And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 And did He not find you in want, and then enriched you? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, 9 Therefor the beggar drive not away, 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
