The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the bright forenoon, 1 And the night when dark and still, 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. 4 And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content. 5 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find you wandering, and give you guidance? 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, 9 And as to the beggar, chide thou him not. 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11
