Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Qaf. CONSIDER this sublime Qur'an! 1 Nay, but they marvel that a warner of their own hath come unto them; and the disbelievers say: This is a strange thing: 2 When we are dead and turned to dust, this returning (to life) is most far-fetched." 3 We know what the earth diminishes of them; with Us is a book recording. 4 In fact they denied the Truth when it came to them, so they are now in a dilemma. 5 Do they not look at the sky above them - how We have built it and made it beautiful and free of all faults? 6 And the earth - We have spread it wide, and set upon it mountains firm, and caused it to bring forth plants of all beauteous kinds, 7 as a lesson and reminder for every human being who turns to God; 8 And We sent down the auspicious water from the sky, therefore producing gardens with it, and the grain that is harvested. 9 And the tall palm-trees having spadices closely set one above another, 10 A sustenance for the servants, and We give life thereby to a dead land; thus is the rising. 11 Before them, the people of Noah and the people of Rass denied this truth; and so did the people of Thamud. 12 and so did 'Ad, and Pharaoh and Lot's brethren, 13 dwellers of the forest, and the people of Tubba had all rejected the Prophets. Thus, they became subject to Our torment. 14 Did We fail to accomplish the first creation? Of course, We did not; We have all power over all things. Yet they are confused about a new creation. 15
