The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Woe unto every slanderer, traducer, 1 Who pileth up wealth and layeth it by, 2 Does he think his wealth will abide for ever with him? 3 By no means! They will be thrown into hutamah. 4 And what shall make thee know that which the Crushing Fire is? 5 It is the fire kindled by God 6 Which rises above the hearts. 7 verily, it will close in upon them 8 In pillars stretched forth. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
