The Embryo (Al-Alaq)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Recite in the name of your Lord who created - 1 He created man from a clot. 2 Recite thou: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, 3 Who hath taught mankind by the pen 4 Has taught man that which he knew not. 5 Yet man behaves arrogantly, 6 Because he sees himself self-sufficient. 7 Surely to your Lord is your return. 8 Bethinkest thou him who forbiddeth, 9 a worshiper when he prays. 10 Did you consider: what if he is on the Right Way, 11 or orders piety? 12 Bethinkest thou, if he belieth and turneth away? 13 Does he not know that God sees? 14 By no means! If he desist not We shall seize and deal him by the forelock 15 A lying, sinful forelock! 16 Let him call on his associates for help 17 We will now call the guards! 18 No, indeed; do not obey him! Prostrate and come nearer (to Allah). ۩ 19
