In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Read with the name of your Lord Who created, 1 He created man from a clot. 2 Read! Your Lord is the Most Bountiful One 3 who taught by the Pen, 4 He taught the human being what he did not know. 5 Nay, but man doth transgress all bounds, 6 Because he considers himself self-sufficient. 7 Verily unto thy Lord is the return. 8 HAST THOU ever considered him who tries to prevent 9 A servant when he prays? 10 Do you think he is rightly guided, 11 Or had enjoined piety, (it would have been better)? 12 Seest thou if he denies (Truth) and turns away? 13 Does he not know that Allah sees? 14 Nay! If he (Abu Jahl) ceases not, We will catch him by the forelock, 15 his lying, sinful forelock. 16 Then, let him call upon his council (of helpers), 17 and We too will call the stern and angry keepers of hell. 18 No, indeed; do not obey him! Prostrate and come nearer (to Allah). ۩ 19
