The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Proclaim! (or read!) in the name of thy Lord and Cherisher, Who created- 1 created man from a clot of congealed blood. 2 Recite: And thy Lord is the Most Generous, 3 who, by the pen, taught the human being: 4 The One Who taught man all what he did not know. 5 By no means: Verily man exorbitateth. 6 because he thinks that he is independent. 7 Indeed, to your Lord is the return. 8 Hast thou seen him who dissuadeth 9 a servant (of Allah) when he prays? 10 Seest thou if he is on (the road of) Guidance?- 11 Or had enjoined piety, (it would have been better)? 12 Have you seen if he denies and turns away - 13 Knoweth he not that Allah doth see? 14 Let him beware! If he does not desist, We will drag him by the forelock -- 15 A lying, sinful forelock! 16 So let him call on his concourse! 17 We will call the guards of hell. 18 No indeed! Do not obey him, but prostrate yourself and come closer to God. ۩ 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
