The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
(Muhammad), read in the name of your Lord who created (all things). 1 Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood: 2 Read! Your Lord is the Most Bountiful One 3 The One Who taught to write with the pen. 4 taught the human what he did not know. 5 Nay, but verily man is rebellious 6 whenever he believes himself to be self-sufficient: 7 Surely unto thy Lord is the Returning. 8 Have you seen the one who forbids 9 A servant when he prays? 10 Have you seen if he was upon guidance 11 and enjoins piety? 12 What will happen if the prohibiting rejects the Truth and turns away from it!? 13 Does he not know that Allah sees everything? 14 Nay! if he desist not, We would certainly smite his forehead, 15 by the lying forelock steeped in sin. 16 Then let him call his associates; 17 We will now call the guards! 18 Nay! (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him))! Do not obey him (Abu Jahl). Fall prostrate and draw near to Allah! ۩ 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
