The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Read (Prophet Muhammad) in the Name of your Lord who created, 1 Created man from a clot. 2 Recite: and your Lord is Most Generous, 3 Who has taught (the writing) by the pen [the first person to write was Prophet Idrees (Enoch)]. 4 The One Who taught man all what he did not know. 5 Nay, but man doth transgress all bounds, 6 that he sees himself sufficed. 7 Surely your returning is to your Lord. 8 Have you seen the one who forbids 9 A slave when he prayeth? 10 Did you consider: what if he is on the Right Way, 11 Or enjoins Righteousness? 12 What thinkest thou? If he cries lies, and turns away - 13 Did he not realise that Allah is watching? 14 Nay, but if he cease not We will seize him by the forelock - 15 A lying, sinful forehead. 16 Then let him summon his council, 17 We will call the angels of Hell. 18 Beware! Do not obey him, but bow in adoration and draw near (to your Lord). ۩ 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
