Proof (Al-Bayyinah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
The deniers of truth from among the People of the Book and the polytheists would not desist from disbelief until they received clear evidence -- 1 an apostle from God, conveying [unto them] revelations blest with purity, 2 Containing correct scriptures. 3 Nor did the People of the Book make schisms, until after there came to them Clear Evidence. 4 And they have been commanded no more than this: To worship Allah, offering Him sincere devotion, being true (in faith); to establish regular prayer; and to practise regular charity; and that is the Religion Right and Straight. 5 The unbelievers among the People of the Book and the idolaters shall be for ever in the Fire of Gehenna (Hell). They are the worst of all creatures. 6 Indeed those who accepted faith and did good deeds – it is they who are the best among the creation. 7 Their recompense is with their Lord; Gardens of Eden, underneath which rivers flow, where they shall live for ever. Allah is wellpleased with them, and they are wellpleased with Him. That is for he who fears his Lord! 8
