Al-Zalzalah

The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

When the earth is shaken to her (utmost) convulsion, 1 And the earth brings forth her burdens, 2 And man cries (distressed): 'What is the matter with her?'- 3 That day it will narrate its annals, 4 Because thy Lord will inspire her. 5 Upon that day men shall issue in scatterings to see their works, 6 Then whosoever hath worked good of an atom's weight shall behold it 7 And whoever does an evil deed equal to the weight of the minutest particle, will see it. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
