Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.) 1 then raise sparks of fire (by their hoofs), 2 as they gallop to make raids at dawn, 3 And therein raising dust. 4 which engulfs the enemy. 5 Indeed man is very ungrateful towards his Lord. 6 and surely he is a witness against that! 7 And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense. 8 ۞ But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out, 9 And the secrets of the breasts are made known, 10 surely on that day their Lord shall be aware of them! 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
