The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the (steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 striking sparks of fire with their hooves, 2 And push home the charge in the morning, 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 Penetrating deep into the armies, 5 The human being is certainly ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And is himself witness to it, 7 And indeed he loves wealth to the extreme. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth 9 and all that is [hidden] in men's hearts is bared 10 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds). 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
