Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By (the horses) that charge snorting, 1 Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves), 2 And push home the charge in the morning, 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 which engulfs the enemy. 5 Lo! man is an ingrate unto his Lord 6 And most surely he is a witness of that. 7 And indeed he loves wealth to the extreme. 8 ۞ Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised, 9 and all that is in the hearts is made public, 10 that on that Day their Sustainer [will show that He] has always been fully aware of them? 11
