S (Saad)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Sad. CONSIDER this Qur'an, endowed with all that one ought to remember! 1 No, the unbelievers exalt in their division. 2 How many a generation We destroyed before them, and they cried out when it was no longer the time for escape! 3 And they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves. And the disbelievers say, "This is a magician and a liar. 4 Has he made the gods one single God? This is truly astounding.” 5 And the leaders among them went about (saying): "Go on, and remain constant to your aliha (gods)! Verily, This is a thing designed (against you)! 6 "We have not heard (the like) of this among the people of these later days. This is nothing but an invention! 7 Hath unto him the admonition been sent down from amongst us! Yea! they are in doubt concerning My admonition. Yea! they have not yet tasted My torment. 8 Or have they the treasures of the mercy of thy Lord,- the Exalted in Power, the Grantor of Bounties without measure? 9 Or is theirs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and what is between them? Then let them ascend through [any] ways of access. 10 this host too, among other hosts, is bound to suffer defeat. 11 Before them, the people of Nooh had denied, and the tribe of A’ad, and Firaun who used to crucify. 12 And the Thamud, and the people of Lut, and the dwellers of the wood; these were the confederates. 13 not one, that cried not lies to the Messengers, so My retribution was just. 14
