The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By the snorting, panting horses, 1 And striking off fire by dashing their hoofs. 2 rushing to assault at morn, 3 and raising clouds of dust, 4 cleaving there with a host! 5 Lo! man is an ingrate unto his Lord 6 And lo! he is a witness unto that; 7 for, verily, to the love of wealth is he most ardently devoted. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not - when that which is in the graves shall be ransacked? 9 and all that is [hidden] in men's hearts is bared 10 Surely, on that Day, they will know that their Lord had full knowledge of them all. 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
