Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Yaa-Seen (Alphabets of Arabic language – Allah and to whomever He reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 I swear by the Quran full of wisdom 2 Lo! thou art of those sent 3 On a Straight Path (i.e. on Allah's religion of Islamic Monotheism). 4 A revelation of the Mighty, the Merciful. 5 In order that you may warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, so they are heedless. 6 (I swear) that most of them are doomed to be punished. They have no faith. 7 We have put fetters around their necks which reach up to their chins so that they are standing with their heads upright, 8 We have set-up a barrier in front of and behind them and have made them blind. Thus, they cannot see. 9 It is all the same for them whether you warn them or do not warn them for they shall not believe. 10 You can only warn one who follows the message and fears the Most Merciful unseen. So give him good tidings of forgiveness and noble reward. 11 It is We who bring the dead to life and records the deeds of human beings and their consequences (of continual effects). We keep everything recorded in an illustrious Book. 12
