The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I CALL TO witness the chargers, snorting, rushing to battle before the others, 1 And striking off fire by dashing their hoofs. 2 Then those charging in the morning 3 Then, therewith, with their trail of dust, 4 And cleaving their way therein into the host, 5 Most surely man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 and surely he is a witness against that! 7 And violent is he in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Is he not aware of the time when the contents of the graves will be brought out? 9 and the secrets of the hearts are laid bare (and examined)? 10 Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Acquainted. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
