The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

By the snorting runners (the horses), 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 rushing to assault at morn, 3 blazing a trail of dust, 4 Penetrating deep into the armies, 5 Verily man is most ungrateful to his Lord; 6 To this he himself shall bear witness. 7 for, verily, to the love of wealth is he most ardently devoted. 8 ۞ Is he not aware of the time when the contents of the graves will be brought out? 9 and the secrets of the hearts are laid bare (and examined)? 10 that on that Day their Sustainer [will show that He] has always been fully aware of them? 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
