Said [Moses]: "O my Sustainer! Open up my heart [to Thy light,] 25 And ease my task for me; 26 and loosen the knot from my tongue 27 That they may understand my speech, 28 And give me as assistant from my family 29 Aaron, my brother; 30 Strengthen me through him 31 Let him be my partner in this task 32 That we may sing Your praises much, 33 and remember Thee abundantly. 34 Surely You know us well." 35 He said, “O Moosa, you have been granted your prayer.” 36 And We had already conferred favor upon you another time, 37 When we inspired in thy mother that which is inspired, 38 Saying: Throw him into the ark, and throw it into the river, then the river shall throw it on to the bank, and there an enemy to Me and an enemy to him shall take him. And I endued thee with love from Me that thou mightest be trained according to My will, 39 "When your sister went and said: 'Shall I show you one who will nurse him?' So We restored you to your mother, that she might cool her eyes and she should not grieve. Then you did kill a man, but We saved you from great distress and tried you with a heavy trial. Then you stayed a number of years with the people of Madyan (Midian). Then you came here according to the fixed term which I ordained (for you), O Musa (Moses)! 40 “And I created you especially for Myself.” 41 "Go, thou and thy brother, with My Signs, and slacken not, either of you, in keeping Me in remembrance. 42 Go to Pharaoh, for he has become insolent. 43 But speak unto him in a mild manner, so that he might bethink himself or [at least] be filled with apprehension. 44 The two said:" Lord! We fear he may commit excesses against us, or transgress all bounds." 45 He replied: 'Have no fear I shall be with you, both hearing and seeing. 46 "So go you both to him, and say: 'Verily, we are Messengers of your Lord, so let the Children of Israel go with us, and torment them not; indeed, we have come with a sign from your Lord! And peace will be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 It is revealed to us that those who call our message a lie or turn away from it will face the torment." 48 Said Firaun, “So who is the Lord of you both, O Moosa?” 49 Musa said: our Lord is He who vouchsafed unto everything its creation, then guided it. 50 Pharaoh asked: "Then, what is the state of the former generations?" 51 Moses replied, "The knowledge about it is with my Lord in the Book. My Lord is free from error and forgetfulness. 52 It is He who has made for you the earth as a cradle and threaded roads for you and sends down water from the sky with which We bring forth every kind of plant. 53 Eat, and graze your cattle; indeed in this are signs for people of intellect. 54
