Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By (the horses) that charge snorting, 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 And push home the charge in the morning, 3 Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust, 4 Arriving thereby in the center collectively, 5 Indeed man is very ungrateful towards his Lord. 6 and surely he is a witness against that! 7 And verily, he is violent in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered 9 And all what lies in the breasts is opened – 10 Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Acquainted. 11
