The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
(I swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks 1 And the producers of sparks [when] striking 2 And raiding at dawn 3 and leave behind a cloud of dust 4 Then rush thereby upon an assembly: 5 Verily man is most ungrateful to his Lord; 6 To this he himself shall bear witness. 7 And is intractable in his love of worldly goods. 8 ۞ But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered 9 And what is in the breasts is made apparent? 10 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds). 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
