Al-Aadeyaat

The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

By the (steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 Then those that make raids at morn, 3 Then, therewith, with their trail of dust, 4 Then penetrate to the centre of the enemy army. 5 Indeed, the human is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And is himself witness to it, 7 He certainly has a strong love for wealth and riches. 8 ۞ So does he not know? When those in the graves are raised, 9 And that which is (locked up) in (human) breasts is made manifest- 10 Surely on that Day will their Lord be fully informed about them. 11
