The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.) 1 striking sparks of fire with their hooves, 2 while running during a raid at dawn, 3 Then, therewith, with their trail of dust, 4 cleaving there with a host! 5 Verily man is most ungrateful to his Lord; 6 To this he himself shall bear witness. 7 And violent is he in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not know,- when that which is in the graves is scattered abroad 9 And the secrets of the hearts exposed, 10 indeed, on that Day their Lord will be aware of them! 11
