The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

THE STARTLING CALAMITY. 1 What is the Calamity? 2 And what could make thee conceive what that sudden calamity will be? 3 It is a Day whereon mankind will be like moths scattered about, 4 and mountains will be like carded wool. 5 Then as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds], 6 shall find himself in a happy state of life; 7 but he whose scales weigh lighter, 8 A bereft and Hungry One will be his mother, 9 And what shall make thee know that which she is? 10 (It is) a hot blazing Fire! 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
