The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

THE STARTLING CALAMITY. 1 How awesome the sudden calamity! 2 And what will make you comprehend what the terrible calamity is? 3 On that Day human beings shall be like scattered moths, 4 and the mountains shall be like fluffs of carded wool in varying colours. 5 Then as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds], 6 shall live in a life which is pleasing, 7 But as for him whose scales are light, 8 His refuge will be an abyss. 9 What will convey to you what this is like? 10 A Fire vehemently hot! 11
