Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

I CALL TO witness the early hours of morning, 1 and by the night when it covers, 2 Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. 3 And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. 4 And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content. 5 Found He not thee an orphan, so He sheltered thee? 6 Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee)? 7 And found thee in want, and given thee sufficiency? 8 So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. 9 and do not reject the beggars 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
