The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Al-Qari'ah (the striking Hour i.e. the Day of Resurrection), 1 What is the startling calamity? 2 And what will make you know what the striking (Hour) is? 3 [It will occur] on the Day when men will be like moths swarming in confusion, 4 and the mount-ains like tufts of carded wool. 5 Then, the one whose good deeds weigh heavy on the scales, 6 shall live in a life which is pleasing, 7 But he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) light,- 8 A bereft and Hungry One will be his mother, 9 And what do you know what that is? 10 Raging Fire. 11
