The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
OH, the sudden calamity! 1 What is the striking (Hour)? 2 And what will make you know what the striking (Hour) is? 3 (It is) a Day whereon men will be like moths scattered about, 4 and mountains will be like carded wool. 5 Then he whose deeds shall weigh heavier in the scale 6 shall find himself in a happy state of life; 7 But he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) light,- 8 shall be engulfed by an abyss. 9 And what will make you know what it is? 10 It is a burning Fire. 11
