Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), 1 until you visit the graves. 2 You shall know. 3 Nay, but ye will come to know! 4 Indeed, were you to know the truth with certainty, 5 You will surely see the Hellfire. 6 Then ye shall surely behold with the surety of vision. 7 Then, on that Day, you shall be asked about the delight (you indulged in, in this world)! 8

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
