Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

The desire to have more of the worldly gains have pre-occupied you so much (that you have neglected remembring God), 1 Until you come to the graves. 2 But you will soon come to know. 3 But you will soon come to know. 4 No indeed; did you know with the knowledge of certainty, 5 Indeed you will see hell. 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the eye of certainty 7 Then, shall ye be questioned that Day about the joy (ye indulged in!). 8

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
