Messengers, eat what is wholesome and do good deeds: I am well aware of what you do. 51 And verily! This your religion (of Islamic Monotheism) is one religion, and I am your Lord, so keep your duty to Me. 52 The people divided themselves into many sects, each with their own book and each happy with whatever they had. 53 So leave them in their error till a time. 54 What, do they think that We succour them with of wealth and children, 55 We would hasten them on in every good? Nay, they do not understand. 56 Indeed, they who are apprehensive from fear of their Lord 57 and who believe in their Sustainer's messages, 58 And those who do not associate (aught) with their Lord, 59 who give what they give, with their hearts quaking, that they will return to their Lord: 60 it is they who vie with one another in doing good works and shall be the foremost in doing so. 61 And we task not any soul beyond its scope, and with Us is a Record which speaketh the truth, and they will not be wronged. 62 But their hearts are in ignorance of this (Koran); and they have deeds besides that which they are doing. 63 But when We seize with the punishment those of them that live in ease, they groan. 64 Cry not for succor this day; surely you shall not be given help from Us. 65 My verses had already been recited to you, but you were turning back on your heels 66 in arrogance, as if you were abandoning a story-teller. 67 Have they, then, never tried to understand this word [of God]? Or has there [now] come to them something that never came to their forefathers of old? 68 Or, is it that they recognised not their apostle, and so of him they become deniers? 69 Or do they say: There is madness in him? Nay! he has brought them the truth, and most of them are averse from the truth. 70 If the Truth had been in accord with their desires, truly the heavens and the earth, and all beings therein would have been in confusion and corruption! Nay, We have sent them their admonition, but they turn away from their admonition. 71 Or, do you ask a tribute from them? Your Lord's tribute is better. He is the Best of providers. 72 And certainly, you (O Muhammad SAW) call them to a Straight Path (true religion Islamic Monotheism). 73 But those who believe not in the Hereafter turn away from the straight path. 74 ۞ If We had mercy on them and removed the distress which is on them, they would obstinately persist in their transgression, wandering in distraction to and fro. 75 Already have We grasped them with punishment, but they humble not themselves unto their Lord, nor do they pray, 76 Until when We shall open upon them a portal of severe torment, and lo! thereat they are desparing. 77
