The unbelievers say, 'What, when we are dust, and our fathers, shall we indeed be brought forth? 67 We have been promised this, and our fathers before; this is naught but the fairy-tales of the ancients.' 68 Proclaim, "Travel in the land and see what sort of fate befell the guilty." 69 And grieve you not for them, nor be straitened (in distress) because of what they plot. 70 They say, 'When shall this promise come to pass, if you speak the truth?' 71 Say, "Perhaps some of the things which you wish to experience immediately are very close to you." 72 Truly, your Lord is bountiful to mankind, but most of them are not grateful. 73 Your Lord certainly knows whatever their hearts conceal or reveal. 74 There is not a thing hidden in the heaven and earth except that it is in a Clear Book. 75 This Quran tells the Israelites most of the matters about which they had disputes among themselves. 76 it is a guidance, and a mercy unto the believers. 77 Verily thy Lord will decide between them by His Decree: and He is Exalted in Might, All-Knowing. 78 So put your trust in Allah for you are on the manifest truth. 79 Truly thou canst not cause the dead to listen, nor canst thou cause the deaf to hear the call, (especially) when they turn back in retreat. 80 Thou shalt not guide the blind out of their error neither shalt thou make any to hear, save such as believe in Our signs, and so surrender. 81 ۞ And when the Word falls on them, We will bring out from the earth a beast that shall speak to them: 'Indeed the people were not certain of Our verses.' 82
