Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The excessive gathering (of increase and boasting) occupied you (from worshipping and obeying) 1 until you reach your graves. 2 Nay, in time you will come to understand! 3 Indeed you will come to know soon. 4 Nay! if you had known with a certain knowledge, 5 Surely ye shall behold the Scorch. 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the eye of certainty 7 Then, on that day, you will surely be questioned regarding the favours. 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
