Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

The emulous desire of abundance engrosseth you, 1 until you reach your graves. 2 Lo! presently ye shall know. 3 Again, no indeed, you shall soon know. 4 Nay, if you could but understand [it] with an understanding [born] of certainty, 5 Indeed you will see hell. 6 Then you will see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then, on that Day, ye shall surely be asked of the delights. 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
