Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), 1 Until ye come to the graves. 2 Nay! you shall soon know, 3 But you will soon come to know. 4 Nay, if you could but understand [it] with an understanding [born] of certainty, 5 you shall surely see Hell; 6 again, you shall most certainly end up seeing it with absolute certainty. 7 then you shall be questioned that day concerning true bliss. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
