Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

YOU ARE OBSESSED by greed for more and more 1 Until you come to the graves. 2 Lo! presently ye shall know. 3 Again, ye soon shall know! 4 No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty... 5 you would indeed, most surely, behold the blazing fire [of hell]! 6 Again, ye shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 Then on that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the boons. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
