Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

The desire to have more of the worldly gains have pre-occupied you so much (that you have neglected remembring God), 1 Until ye visit the graves. 2 Nay, in time you will come to understand! 3 Again lo! presently ye shall know. 4 Nay, were ye to know with certainty of mind, (ye would beware!) 5 Verily, You shall see the blazing Fire (Hell)! 6 Then you will see it with the eye of certainty. 7 On that Day, you shall be questioned about the pleasures. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
