The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

Woe to every (kind of) scandal-monger and-backbiter, 1 who amasses wealth, counting it over, 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever! 3 By no means! They will be thrown into hutamah. 4 How will you comprehend what Hutama is? 5 A fire kindled by God, 6 Which mounts directed at the hearts. 7 Verily it shall close upon them, 8 in extended columns. 9

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
